What is your favorite yoga pose?
I have so many favorite yoga poses but if I am to pick one…shavasana. The reason I choose shavasana is because thru my postnatal healing I have struggled with quieting my mind and letting go. Although it is not a physically challenging pose for me, it is mentally challenging and that is why I love it. I have learned to release and let go and relax my mind thru shavasana.
Embracing the Doula Journey: Chloe's Path to Empowering Birth Experiences
I think every birthing person should know that they deserve to feel supported. Pregnancy, birth, and parenthood are transformational and challenging, and the decision to go through those things is brave and sacred. The world we live in doesn’t always treat birthing people with respect, so it’s important to prepare for that and remember what we deserve as we navigate birth.
Doulas 101: Types, Benefits, and Why You Need One
A doula is like a personal trainer for your parenting journey. Just like you can go to the gym and work out on your own, you can navigate birth/parenthood without a doula. However, if you have specific goals, want expert guidance, or need someone to support you through challenges, a doula becomes an invaluable partner.
The Power of Intention Setting: Enhancing Your Yoga Practice and Birth Experience
An intention is a purposeful and deliberate statement that reflects your deepest desires, values, and aspirations. It’s not about setting a goal or making a wish; rather, it's about aligning your thoughts and actions with the essence of what you want to cultivate in your life. Whether you're stepping onto your yoga mat or preparing for the transformative journey of birth, setting an intention creates a mental and emotional roadmap to guide you.

What would you tell a new parent considering taking prenatal or baby & me yoga classes?
I 100% recommend classes at PYLV. Of course the classes themselves are great, you learn a lot and move your body in ways geared towards motherhood, but what really stands out to me is the community and safe space that has been curated. As a more introverted person, that has been something difficult to find. Everyone is so welcoming and it’s easily the highlight of my week!

What have you learned since taking classes with PYLV?
Like Angela says, “motion is lotion!” I’ve been regularly taking prenatal yoga classes since June and prenatal/ postnatal Pilates classes since September. I can’t thank Angela enough for all the amazing work she does for mommas and their families! I feel like I actualized my goals of becoming a healthier and stronger mom for my family.
Why You Need Restorative Yoga: A Guide for New Yoga Practitioners
Restorative yoga is a deeply nourishing and therapeutic practice that was developed by Judith Hanson Lasater, renowned yoga teacher, physical therapist and P.h.d., during a challenging period in her life. This practice is accessible for all stages of life, including fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. Unlike more active forms of yoga, Restorative yoga focuses on long-held, supported poses using props like bolsters, pillows, blankets, blocks, straps, sandbags, and eye pillows. Poses are typically held for 5-20 minutes, allowing your body and mind to fully relax and absorb the benefits.

What would you tell a new parent considering taking prenatal or baby & me yoga classes?
I highly recommend taking prenatal and /or baby classes because we learn so much from the classes and attendees. I thought the best way to learn is from real-life experiences. Parents are also able to bond and become friends with each other.
Showing Up as a Yoga Teacher, Even on the Tough Days
There will come a time in every yoga teacher’s journey when you show up for a class and just don’t feel like teaching. Maybe you’ve had a fight with your partner, received some bad news, or are simply feeling drained. So, what do you do when your energy is low, but you still need to guide others?
The Power of Friendship and Yoga: Michelle and Sabrina’s Story
Friendship is a powerful bond, but when shared life experiences, like motherhood, are added to the mix, it creates something extraordinary. This is the story of Michelle and Sabrina—two long-time friends who have deepened their connection through Baby & Me Yoga, finding strength not only in their practice but also in their friendship.
Together, they’ve embraced the joys and challenges of motherhood while watching their daughters grow and thrive. Here’s a look into how Baby & Me Yoga has become a heartwarming ritual for them, their children, and their friendship.
