June 2025 Student of the Month: Anjali

Meet Anjali

Hi I’m Anjali Kamboj, I am a stay at home mom to my 9 month old daughter Sachi (short for Sachpreet , meaning true love in Punjabi) I’m originally from Los Angeles, CA where I was a fashion designer, but moved to Las Vegas after getting married to support my husbands Law Enforcement career.

When did you start taking classes with PYLV?

I started taking taking baby & me classes with Flavia in March! Sachi and I try to make it every Thursday, we really look forward to it!

What have you learned since taking classes with PYLV?

I’ve learned that any movement really makes a difference. I was really in my head in the beginning of my postpartum that if I couldn’t do a class like I’ve done before pregnancy, why even try. But that’s not the case anymore. Even just some gentle yoga stretches makes a huge difference in the way my body feels.

What is your favorite yoga pose?

Cat/cow is my favorite yoga pose, I can always really stretch my back, shoulders, and neck with that pose. With the breastfeeding pains that pose always helps.

How has your practice impact your parenting?

It has been really fun to stretch and bind with my baby and I love being able to talk to other parents in a similar stage of their lives.

What would you tell a new parent considering taking prenatal or baby & me yoga classes?

Do it! I always encourage my friends to reach out and look for baby and me classes in their city! I love it so much I really wish I had gone while pregnant for the prenatal classes. The community benefits are so worth it!
