Getting the Most Out of Online Yoga Classes

I know what you’re thinking, online classes? But it won’t be the same! I won’t get the same connection or interaction as in person classes. I am going to share with you the many benefits of online yoga classes, what makes our studio unique and tips for joining.

Benefits of online yoga classes:

  1. Save time - Getting to the studio is the hardest part. Online classes take the stress out of driving to and from classes. Less travelings = more time to do the things your love.

  2. Practice where ever - Decide to go on vacation? You don’t need to miss your practice!

  3. Community - Meet people from all over the world.

What makes Prenatal Yoga Las Vegas online studio unique?

  1. Teacher Setup - We use a two camera setup. One camera setup for a visual profile and the other to communicate with the teacher. This gives the student the best of both worlds.

  2. PYLV Community - We are not just "doing yoga”. We take the time to communicate and connect with each student and share relevant information in each class.

  3. Personalized practice - Unlike video recordings and generalized yoga classes, our classes specialize in the journey of motherhood. Our classes our geared toward those who are trying to conceive, pregnant, postpartum, season parents, and mother/nurturer at heart.

Tips for Practicing Online

  1. Welcome - Say hello! We want to see your face. You don’t need to practice with the camera turned on, but we love to see who we are interacting with, as well this gives us an opportunity for verbal adjustments.

  2. Camera Setup - Setup your camera in a landscape view. This is best at an angle were we can see your entire mat.

  3. Music - Just because you are practicing at home doesn’t mean that it has to be silent. Turn on a playlist you enjoy!

  4. Kids - Don’t worry about it! Seriously! We practice with kids ALL the time. This does not need to perfect. What better example than practicing in front of your kids? We turn all the students on mute, so don’t stress.

  5. Home Setup - If you have space in your home, setup a yoga room or yoga space. We often use props and it’s easiest when you have everything in one place.

What students are saying about online classes…

The availability of online classes allow more opportunities for me to practice yoga. It’s also nice to participate in a live, instructor led class in my home. I love having both options. I can easily fit an hour class at home into my busy schedule. - Emily B., mom of two
