Prenatal Yoga School - FAQ

How to enroll? Prospective trainees must apply to PYS online. Once applied, prospective trainees will setup a call with PYS Lead Trainer to review application. If determined to be a good fit for our program, a tuition payment plan will be setup.

Who can attend? This training is open to all who are looking to support new parents or deepen their own practice/knowledge. Yoga teachers, aspiring yoga teachers, birth professionals, or anyone who is pregnant or postpartum. (Trainees who wish to certify with Yoga Alliance must be a registered RYT.)

What is included in the 100-hr Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training?

  • Prenatal Yoga Foundations or Advanced Prenatal Yoga

  • Weekly classes with PYLV

  • Supervised Teaching

  • The Goddesses of Yoga Series

  • Yoga of the Subtle Body for Pregnancy Series

  • Yoga of Birth and Comfort Measures

What is NOT included: * PYLV electives, electives outside of PYLV, books and other training materials, Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training, Yoga for Pelvic Health. * Trainees and alumni may receive a discount on other PYLV offerings.

What if I miss a session? Trainees are expected to attend 90% of sessions. If trainees are experiencing life circumstances, please communicate with Lead Trainer to make accommodations. Weekly sessions will be recorded for trainees who miss a session. If an immersion date is missed, trainees make schedule a private makeup session for additional fee.

What if I don’t want to teach? Prenatal yoga teacher training is a great way to deepen your knowledge of yoga and pregnancy. Yoga teacher training often sparks transformative journeys for many trainees.

What materials are required? Trainees need to have access to high speed internet, as well a device with a camera and access to Google Drive. Yoga props required: yoga mat, blanket, bolster, 2 blocks, strap, wall and chair.
